Music At Mt Keira - Summer Concert Series
( 4 items )
The Music and Mt Keira Summer Concert Series was conceived by the Rotary Club of Wollongong Central and offered through a partnership between RC Wollongong Central, Scouts and the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music. With the unfortunate cessation of RC Wollongong Central, RC Wollongong is providing the required logistical assistance to keep the concert series running.
This delightful series of Summer Concerts is held at the wonderful venue of Mt Keira Scout Camp, and showcases a range of amateur music groups and performers by providing them with the wonderful venue of the Lodge area at the camp. The series has now run since 2000 and is named the Don and Ann Stone Concert Series.

Summit Tank
( 1 items )
Probably the greatest achievement to date in the beautification area is high up on the escarpment at Summit Tank, an intermediate stop for the region’s tourist steam train 3801. Here the area around a desolate railway station (more realistically a railway platform) has been transformed from a wilderness to a pleasant walking area with lookout platform. Using natural materials, stones and native plants, a pathway is now available for passengers to avail themselves of the magnificent views from this part of the escarpment.
