This program features the Illawarra Pipe Band and associated Highland Dancers and there is a ceremonial serving of the haggis during the performance. The pipers and drummers and cancers are in traditional Scottish dress, and during the 2 hr Concert nearly all the well known and popular Scottish marches and tunes are played, with dancing where appropriate. The Concert finishes with the traditional “Lone Piper” playing in the Glen, and the Mt Keira Scout camp venue provides a marvellous backdrop and setting for the Scottish Music. Highland Pipes in the Rainforest provides a great spectacle and a marvellous start to the Concert Series.
